EvEcho now works on your car screen

EvEcho v2.2.0 adds full CarPlay and Android Auto support. When you connect your phone, your car's built-in screen shows your watched stations with real-time availability and colour-coded status. Drive Companion narration works through the car speakers too.

How to get it

iPhone (CarPlay)

Make sure you're running the latest version of EvEcho. Connect to CarPlay as you normally would, and EvEcho will appear in your app list. Steering wheel controls work — use Next and Previous to browse stations, Play to start the briefing.

Download on the App Store

Android (Android Auto)

Make sure you're running the latest version of EvEcho (2.2.0 or later). Connect to Android Auto and EvEcho will appear on your car's display.

Get it on Google Play

A quick note for Android Auto users: Right now, you'll need to use the Play and Next buttons on your car's touchscreen to browse stations. Steering wheel Bluetooth controls are coming in a future update.

What else is new (v2.1.4 → v2.2.0)

Here's a quick recap of the last few releases:

Share stations with friends — Tap the send icon on any station card. Your friend gets a branded link that opens the app (or the store if they don't have it yet).

Session trust signals — Station cards now show when the last successful charge happened: "Just freed", "Last session finished 12m ago". Helps you judge whether a charger is actually working.

Smarter discovery — Corridor buttons sort by proximity now. Your nearest charging area appears first instead of being buried in a list. If there are no stations near you, you can request coverage for your area.

Drive Companion signal status — The HUD now shows GPS quality and data freshness so you know when narration might be less accurate.

169 new fast charger locations — Major coverage expansion across Ireland including the M7 corridor.

Stability — Fixed a launch crash, improved charger data accuracy for EZO stations, and various reliability fixes for notifications and analytics.
